I will quit tomorrow… Sound like you?

As I asked my Facebook followers about their biggest hang up, I heard multiple times the feeling of “I will quit tomorrow”. Have you ever said I will quit tomorrow? There is something about pushing it off for another day. That feeling we have already blown it for today so it only makes sense to start tomorrow.

I laughing say that “I will quit tomorrow” goes right next to the “I am not that bad”.

Exercise can be such a hang up for many of us. There is this idea that we HAVE to exercise in order to lose weight. First let me tell you that is not true. I have lost a lot of weight previously without exercising at all. But I will tell you my body feels better and looks better when I move it strengthening muscle. Emotional Cravings Are a Messenger: You are Not a Failure

Cravings are our messenger, it doesn’t mean we are doing something wrong. Even though we feel like a failure because we have cravings I have found that the cravings were actually letting me know I needed care. We tend to beat ourselves because we feel like we are doing it wrong but that is not the correct message. We begin to fight the craving instead of understanding the internal misalignment which is creating the craving.

What is Your Message of Unworthy in Your Weight?

After struggling my entire life with weight I figured it out it wasn’t about the food and white knuckling. For emotional eaters like me we have lost and gained the same 20, 30 or 40+ lbs more times than we care to discuss.

But one day I realized I wasn’t giving myself permission to be worthy of the time and effort it took to bring forth change. I am not sure where I received the message I was not worthy of time and attention and I really don’t care but it had to change.

Eating to a 2, Stop Eating From a Starved State

There are so many crazy diets out there that tell us to only eat at certain times, deny your body, whip yourself into shape but not of that mentality ever worked for me. It might work for a little while but I would come scream off one of those diets like an Olympic Long Jump Skier….

Today I teach eat to a 2. What does that mean you ask? Well if 10+ is Thanksgiving full and -10 is I will eat everything between here and Texas then keep it at a 2. I know I am hungry but I am not starved. I know my body is satisfied, no longer hungry.
